Indian hemp, also called Indica, is a plant of the genus hemp (Cannabis L.). The majority of Indica cannabis strains come from Central Asia, India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tibet or Nepal. It is an annual herbaceous plant, which differs in the growth and appearance of other cannabis species such as Sativa. They have the widest of leaves and the plants are lower, reaching a height of approximately 120 cm, this is due to their original habitat, where the plants are not so close to each other and therefore have much more light and more space to grow in width. Its growth is more compact, conical, densely branched, resembling a typical Christmas tree, with more compact and heavy buds.
When smoking it can have a sweet fruity taste, with spicy nuances and a smell of earth, pine, but it will always vary and it will have a characteristic flavor and smell, depending on the variety of seed that it is cultivated or smoked.
Another distinctive feature is its flowering time which is relatively short which can last 45-65 days. The Indica is usually more suitable for medical or therapeutic use, they have a narcotic or soporific effect when smoking, leaving you with a 'low' sensation. However, it relieves pain and discomfort, exerts a relaxing and tranquil effect, reduces anxiety and stress, helps to sleep, acts as an anti-inflammatory, helps mitigate spasms and convulsions and stimulates appetite and can be used for meditation and relaxation
In our Hipersemillas online store you will find a large number of varieties of hemp. The 100% or almost pure Indicas, include varieties such as Afghani, Hindu Kush, Hash Plant, Critical Kush, Kosher Kush or Northern Lights. When crossing with Sativa varieties, hybrids have been created that combine the best characteristics of each species. Hybrids, where the percentage of Indica predominates, are called 'Mostly Indica'.
The plants from the fast, heavy, compact side of the cannabis family tree are named after India, and it’s true that these strains are commonly grown for charas in the mountainous north of the country. However, the most perfect examples of the dark, ultra-resinous Cannabis Indica genotype are actually found hundreds of kilometres to the northwest, in the mountains of Afghanistan. Dedicated students of Indica bloodlines often refer to these varieties as ‘Afghanica’ when speaking of their favourites and as ‘hash plants’ when talking generally of the strains found across India, Afghanistan and Pakistan. This precious Afghani is descended from one of the finest hash-making cultivars ever brought from the Hindu Kush to the west. Cannabis strains known generally as hash plants are found throughout the countries that border these mountains, but very few have the pedigree of this Hash Plant - a living definition of the stocky, chunky, beautifully sticky Afghanica genotype. The direct ancestor of Hash Plant was developed in the Northwest USA and came to Holland as a few carefully-transported female cuttings. More
The Critical + is a variety known for its high production, very sweet buds, and flowering speed, typical of Skunk genetics. We have crossed it with The Emerald OG Kush, which is a very special plant with a really strong effect and amazingly intense lemon and oil taste, the best USA strain we have in our library; top production plus top quality, this is a hybrid that provides everything a grower wishes. This pure Indica seed-strain comes directly from the massive mountain range for which it is named. The Hindu Kush is the western spur of the Himalayas, covering half of Afghanistan and straddling the borders of Pakistan and India, reaching almost to China. This desolate and beautiful region forms an important trade-route between the Middle East, central Asia and the Far East and the ancient cannabis traditions of the surrounding cultures have met and merged here over centuries.
